This is an adjustable pottery tool used on the potters wheel to set the thickness of the bottom of a pot. Magnetic inserts are easily changed to switch between heights. No tools necessary. It is offered in 2 versions:

The “Original” - The most versatile version. This will work on full sized pottery wheels and handles clay over 5lbs without any trouble.

The “Mini” - Requested so often that it is now a standard offering. This is a tool that will work with a small bat system. If you throw a lot of mugs and bowls and like to use a small square bat or insert bat system, this is the tool for you. The Mini has a 15% smaller center to make room for the spinning clay. 2-3lbs of clay is about the limit for this tool.

These tools come with my four most popular thicknesses (1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, and 5/8”) as well as a “Zero” insert for those times when you don’t want a bottom on your thrown piece. No special tools needed to change heights. No worry about the tool getting out of adjustment, or threads getting clogged with clay.

A magnetic holding tray is included to hold the inserts when not in use.

These hand made tools use solid stainless steel and durable plastic handles. All of the 3D printed parts are made to be very durable. I do all of the forming, welding and assembling of these tools, so much like pottery, you are buying a handmade tool from the maker.
